It’s a fine evening, the weather is cloudy and the theater is full, it’s 900 seating capacity overflowing.

Everyone’s excited to see the play. It’s called ‘Nord-Ost’, a musical production celebrating Russian soldiers who fought in World War II.

There are husbands, their busty wives, and sweet little children. They’re enjoying the play as it enters the climax. A group of actors enter the stage with fake AK-47’s and begin shouting in some foreign language.

These actors are skilled and see the look on their faces
as if they were about to shoot us all dead!

And then, these gunned actors take everyone off stage and begin threatening everyone. Through the front gate, females-wearing hijabs and equipped with handguns arrive and sit at strategically placed seats, so that if needed, they would be able to blow up the whole auditorium.

The curtain falls, and they realize this is not all part of the play.
They are real terrorists.
Those women have TNT strapped to their belly.
They are on a suicide mission.

In the middle of the night, after the news reached every T.V channel across the nation and the police swung into action, one person defied everything and stepped inside this death-trap, a woman named Olga Romanova.

Olga

She went inside the theater all by herself, shouted at the terrorists to back-off and requested the hostages to do something to get out of there.

Given that she did not know that they had those human-bombs to blow up the place in case something went wrong, she did a pretty brave thing and of course, they shot her. They suspected she was a secret police officer or someone sent by them. Her mother had tried to stop her from going out but she didn’t listen. A tragedy for her, but a tale for everyone else to remember.

This woman had nerves of steel.

Those who’re not afraid to die are either angels or devils, and we should not forget the bravery of this angel.

Yes, they hostage were rescued but at the cost of 130 lives.

They chose to use poison gas to kill the terrorists, but forgot that those hostages are human too?
